Ladybugs, the Garden Savior

Gardeners all over the community are regularly battling a full-scale war to secure their vegetation and fresh veggies from unwanted insect infestations. However, chemicals and pesticides are dangerous not only to your vegetation, but even you! So how do we prevent this with a more organic method? This is where Integrated Pest Management (IPM) comes in. IPM is the natural, organic way to combat unwanted garden insect infestations with the use of valuable predator bugs that eat or parasitize dangerous bugs. The most well-known option among expert growers are live ladybugs simply because of their insatiable characteristics, feeding upon a wide range of bad bugs that will harm your vegetation.
Live ladybugs can be regarded as what I like to call them --garden saviors-- because they protect your garden from a plethora of bad bugs. These convergen beetles (both mature and larvae) feast upon almost any soft-bodied insect you can think of - aphids, moth egg, spider mites, scales, thrips, leafhoppers, mealybugs, etc. Their preferred meals however are aphids and therefore a very well-known option for organic aphid management. Never let that restrict your use to aphids, as these common garden predators will assault other unwanted insect infestations when aphids are not present. One concern you may be asking yourself is "these little guys are excellent, but how am I expected to get them and use them?"
There is an answer! Many organic farming shops or e-commerce websites sell live ladybugs for purchase in different volumes. What happens is that aggregations are established in mountain canyons after the ladybug beetles have moved from valley feeding areas. These ladybug gatherings are collected in bulk and then packed so that all you have to do is take them home, open them up, and let them get to work. You can even chill ladybugs for up to three weeks for several releases or if you cannot instantly put them in your garden. Ladybugs become active when the temperature is warm, so you are much better to release these bugs in the morning when it is cooler. This will make it so your new defenders don't fly away to search for prey in another person's garden (not that they don't need live ladybugs, but you purchased them!).
Live ladybugs are also reproductive and one female can lay up to 1,500 eggs over their lifetime of about 100 days. That means that ONE ladybug can generate a whole battalion, think about if you had a whole package! So next time you experience yourself overwhelmed by incoming pest insects, use ladybugs to combat the problem and restore your garden to its former glory!
